How I Found You by Gabriella Lepore (1 star ratings)

It’s rushed and childish. There’s no world building, no discriptions whatsoever. There’s just some shallow thinking and conversations. I can’t get into the story. The characters are flat, annoying and highly unlikeable. Much to my irritation, I realised that I was blushing. I was ashamed to admit it, but I was blushing because he was so attractive.

I’m so tired of these kind of statements. Got it because one of my fave booktubers is the cover model. After reading the description of this book I thought I was going to love it. But now I am just confused as to whether I have just finished the same book that people are giving 5 starts to down below. But of course that is your opinion, I’ll get on with mine.

The first pages of this were alright, average, nothing special. It was a typical teenager with typical parental issues. Something we here about so much in the fictional universe. She goes and stays with family and meets the mysteri Well.

She goes and stays with family and meets the mysterious new guy who turns out to not be human. Rose was an alright character and I didn’t mind her thoughts but towards the end her comments were sort of weird compared to what was happening. Oscar was one of the biggest asshole characters I have ever read about. He infuriated me and was down right rude to the rest of Rose’s family.

I have nothing good to say about Caicus. I didn’t like how Rose’s family and past was completely overlooked. As well as Oscar’s heritage, we didn’t get anything about the witches other than that flashback scene.

I understand this was a stand alone and that it didn’t have much time for everything to happen but come on, we got the bare minimum. The events that concluded the last pages of this book has me laughing. One of my least favorite things in books is insta love and you might disagree with me in this but I defiantly believe it was a tragic case of insta love.

I got to the scene in the treehouse and everything is going pretty well, I was beginning to like the plot.

And then came the bomb. I couldn’t really comprehend their love.

How I Found You : Gabriella Lepore :

It seemed very out of place and was dropped very loosely and then not mentioned for a while. I did not like how the flashback scene was conducted and while I think the prophecy came together well at the end it was pretty dismal before that. I’m not sure why Oscar thought Rose would be safe if she was in the tree house or out in the woods?

Is it a magic tree house? I mean if Liathius can wipe out a line of witches it’s safe to assumed that he can chase a girl through the forest at night. It was a yoj unclear as to whether Emily was Rose. I mean we assumed it but she never out right said she was Jou and I don’t understand how she could be as it was not referred to. I felt this need to be explored way more. I was so confused by oscar’s thought processes at the end, it was childish and completely out of character.

After everything he had done gabriflla try and save the girl he loved he was a bit flippant about their plan. Overall pretty dismal book, very open ended ending, boring, lacked backstory and explanation. Defiantly gabriela ever ever read again. Bella Swan is that you? Jan 03, Hope Christmann rated it did not like it.

Writing was rushed and sloppy, the characters were not fully developed, and the dialogue was weak and often cliched. The writer, I think has a lot of potential, but it was not met with this novel.
