As a web designer and developer, must of the information mentioned here are not new. But I learned a lot of this book, and I revised a lot of things that I have forgotten by time. I like books with exercises, it enables you to test what you learned in real world projects. This book contains a lot of exercises and Test-Your-Self at the end of each chapter. Learning Web Design, 4th Edition – O’Reilly Media
You will have to open your text editor along with your browser to practice what you learned and make mistakes. Without trying and making mistakes, you are not learning. Actually I skipped the last chapter which talks about compression,I already have the required tools to compress my graphics, so really I will not waste my time on jenmifer. There are still much more to learn. The best guide to understand CSS3!

Well, looking at the cover I had expected to learn something beautiful, but examples are somewhat early s style.
And this is book of Just looked into Bootstrap 1, somewhat also looks ugly webb after 4 years. I don’t believe something can be learned from the books, you need to do something from the start one.

The author intended to graphically show her ideas, to show how to implement them and she did it successfully. Where this book excels weeb with the introduction of new HTML tags and CSS rules with useful information about browser support and techniques that allow older browsers to benefit from the features of newer language code.
Book great add-on is inclusion of the desigb to websites related to topics discussed allowing student to see live examples. These links would help student e. The students are encouraged to continue developing their skills exploring subjects introduced in the book, like responsive design and progressive enhancement.

If you want to know more, the author always provides links for further reading at the end of each chapter. All in all, this books is a must-read. I learned HTML in the 90s with a Visual Quickstart Guide, which helps you learn by doing, usually with easy and illustrated step-by-step exercises. I also learned CSS a little bit later in the same way. I took a refresher course recently, and this was the required text.
While this book does have example exercises and files, it felt like there was far too much explaining and talking, and niererst enough doing. Excellent root primer, very breezy delivery for complex device and display strategy Good delivery “voice” denotes a very logical pitch to share bona fide expertise with audience. Not a stitch of ambiguity traversing through a jungle of terms and expressions. The author is progressively succinct over a wide modicum of competing concepts. Give that girl a star! This was recommended by a student I knew! Covers all clearly and with good detail and resources. Just touches on Jscript – not a book for that. As the title suggests, it is a book for beginners.
It has been a few years actually since I read it but I can say that it is really good, at least for the audience it is meant for. It is easy to read with some humour on the side.
